Process principle of injection molding:
The principle of injection molding is to add granular or powdery raw materials into the hopper of the injection machine. The raw materials are heated and melted into a flowing state. Driven by the screw or piston of the injection machine, they enter the mold cavity through the nozzle and the pouring system of the mold, and harden and shape in the mold cavity. Factors affecting injection molding quality: injection pressure, injection time, injection temperature.
The injection molding process can be roughly divided into the following six stages:
Mold closing, glue injection, pressure maintaining, cooling, mold opening and product taking out.
If the above process is repeated, the products can be produced in batch and periodically. The molding of thermosetting plastics and rubber also includes the same process, but the barrel temperature is lower than that of thermoplastic plastics, but the injection pressure is higher. The mold is heated. After the injection of materials, it needs to go through the curing or vulcanization process in the mold, and then take off the film while it is hot.
Nowadays, the trend of processing technology is developing towards high technology. These technologies include micro injection, high fill compound injection, water assisted injection molding, mixing and using various special injection molding processes, foam injection molding, mold technology, simulation technology, etc.
Advantages of injection molding:
1. Short molding cycle, high production efficiency and easy to realize automation.
2. It can form plastic parts with complex shape, accurate size and metal or non-metal inserts.
3. Product quality is stable.
4. Wide application range.
Application scope of injection molding:
Injection molding can be applied in a very wide range. Common industrial products such as kitchen supplies, garbage cans, bowls, buckets, pots, tableware, household appliance shells, hair dryers, electric iron shell, toy cars, automobile parts , chairs, cosmetic packaging boxes, plugs, sockets and so on are injection molding products.
